| Welcome to the area for health professionals and researchers! | |
| The EuroFIR Network is developing a pan-European resource for food composition. For the first time, this will bring together the fragmented and incomplete databases used throughout Europe to form one comprehensive, accurate databank containing a wealth of nutrient composition data and featuring bioactive compounds with putative health benefits. New data on traditional and ethnic foods will also be incorporated.
This new databank will be an essential tool in the translation of information on food composition into public health messages about foods for good health.
